Who are we?

The Ascendant company directors are Paul Wiseman and Sarah Heywood, who previously co-managed a partner office for a UK-based French property consultancy. Both Paul and Sarah have extensive experience selling property in Haute-Savoie and are heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the business. Whether you are buying or selling a property our aim is to provide you with a professional, efficient and honest service.

What’s good about us?

We’re a fully fledged, bona fide French estate agent, authorised by the local authorities and members of France’s largest association of estate agents, FNAIM. Many non-registered individuals out there are happy to present themselves as a French estate agent and talk you into buying a property through them; however you should be cautious as to whether they have the genuine qualifications to offer you help and advice with your purchase. You should certainly be suspicious if they start talking about taking money off you for conducting a property search or for legal advice.

Poor service and illegal practices have given the estate agency industry a bad name in the UK and unfortunately the same applies for many companies that base themselves in the UK and yet claim to be a French estate agent. If they are not a business registered in France and cannot provide you with the details of their estate agency registration number then they are not being entirely honest with you. And if someone isn’t honest with you about that, what else could they be trying to hide from you or cover up?
